Mariah Carey Obsessed (Video, Photos)

Here is the offiical Mariah Carey Obsessed video and photos. It is the official lead single from’ Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’ the music superstar’s twelfth studio album set for release August 25, 2009.

The highly anticipated music video, directed by Brett Ratner, will have its formal premiere during America’s Got Talent on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 (Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon, is the show’s host), however the video has leaked to the Internet and can be seen here after the jump. Previously, the Mariah Carey Obsessed video has been glimpsed through set photos, as it was shot on location in New York City, in an around the Plaza Hotel on Central Park South. Via interviews, and Twitter, Mariah Carey has denied that the Obsessed lyrics or her portrayal of an obsessed male character in the video are referring to Eminem.

The single was co-written by Mariah Carey with The-Dream who produced the track along with Christopher “Tricky” Stewart. The song has been rumored to be an Eminem diss, referring to his track from Relapse, Bagpipes From Baghdad.

Mariah Carey Obsessed video photos (as seen above) continue to fuel discussion and speculation as to whether the music video and lyrics were a reference to Eminem. According to AceShowBiz.com Mariah Carey responded via Twitter:

“I am NOT at any point in the video playing a specific person. I’m dressed as a ’stalker’ in 3 different ensembles,” so she wrote.

In another post, Mariah explained about the male character she portrays, “It was fun playing ‘JoJo’(the stalker/doorman/photographer’s asst) The photographer is played by the world famous, legendary…(Guess who!).” Minutes later, she gave another clue, “Hint: he is mentioned several times in one of my favorite movies ‘The Devil Wears Prada’..”
