In the footage released originally to CNN by concert promoter AEG, the music legend is seen singing and dancing alongside his backup dancers in the final section of his song They Don’t Care About Us, from the HISTory album.

MTV News quotes AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips in a prior interview, recalling the night after that rehearsal seen in the Michael Jackson final rehearsal video just released, in the context of revealing the last few moments of the music legend’s life.

Less than 12 hours before, [Michael Jackson's death] at the end of a long day of rehearsals in Los Angeles in advance of the planned July 13 kickoff of the AEG-promoted This Is It 50-show run at the O2 Arena in London, Phillips said Jackson gave him a big hug and whispered, “Now I know I can do this.”
