Here is the Snopp Dogg Buzz Aldrin Rocket Experience video, lyrics and photos and behind the scenes video. The Buzz Aldrin rap video featuring the second man to walk on the moon and Snoop Dogg, the Grammy Award winning hip-hop icon in an unusual and entertaining collaboration, with the newcomer MC assuming the stage name Doc Rendezvous.

The video was directed by Hollywood director McG (Terminator Salvation) via FunnyOrDie.com. Also contributing to the production are Talib Kweli and Soulja Boy. The Snopp Dogg Buzz Aldrin Rocket Experience lyrics are by Lisa Cannon.

The impetus for the video is both as commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Buzz Aldrin moon walk when in 1969 he became, after Neil Armstrong, the second man to walk on the moon. Additionally, The Buzz Aldrin rap video is intended to reach a wider audience of young people to interest them in space exploration, science and technology. The Snopp Dogg Buzz Aldrin Rocket Experience video is also available as a download; a portion of the profits are donated to the SpaceShare Foundation. Additionally, there is a mock behind-the-scenes look at the 79-year-old former NASA astronaut embarking upon his career as a rapper with coaching from Snoop Dogg and production from Talib Kweli. The mockumentary video features cameo appearances from Soulja Boy and legendary producer and composer Quincy Jones who cite Buzz Aldrin as their musical and artistic inspiration, with Jones speaking admiringly about the Buzz Aldrin moon walk.

For his part, Talib Kweli explains his involvement in the production: ‘I was shocked when Buzz hit me on Twitter and was like “Yo, I’m working on this album…’” He wanted to get more of an underground feel, so he had to bring me in….Buzz Aldrin is so gangsta.’

Buzz Aldrin aka Doc Rendezvous sums it up: ‘I’ve only got two passions. Space exploration and hip-hop.’ The Buzz Aldrin rap video is evidence of the latter and of the former, he has released a new book: Magnificent Desolation: The Long Journey Home From the Moon.
