Sarah Jarosz is a singer-songwriter who plays mandolin, banjo, and guitar. The highly anticipated album was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Gary Paczosa who originally signed the now 18-year-old artist to the Sugar Hill label when she was just 16 years old (after discovering her at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival where she has performed).

Sarah Jarosz is from Austin, Texas where she got her start playing piano at age six, mandolin at age ten, and soon thereafter, guitar and clawhammer banjo. By age 12 she was singing and writing songs. She has performed widely throughout the U.S. at various music festivals and at times alongside bluegrass legends such as Ricky Skaggs and David Grisman for the past five years.

In addition to performing her own songs and traditional bluegrass and folk music she has also covered several songs, including Gnarls Barkley ‘Crazy’ (video of her live performance below) and The Decemberists’ Shankill Butchers which is one of the tracks on her debut album.
