Here is the Eminem Le Grand Journal video of the Nine-time Grammy Award winning rapper’s performances of We Made You and 3 A.M. on June 1, 2009 on the French TV program.

The two singles are the lead single and second single, respectively, from Eminem’s sixth studio album, Relapse, which was released on May 19, 2009 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Eminem — real name Marshall Mathers III and a.k.a. Slim Shady, his alter ego — had taken a respite from the music world, since his 2004 album Encore. The Eminem Le Grand Journal video reveals just one of numerous television appearances the rapper has made, including the now infamous appearance on the MTV Movie Awards 2009 in which he also performed live; however that performance has all but been eclipsed by the the highly publicized Eminem Bruno teabagging incident. In a recent interview, Eminem discussed the prank as as well as his recent joint appearance with Jay-Z at the DJ Hero party at the Wiltern in Los Angeles.

I’m a big fan of his work [Sacha [Baron Cohen, a.k.a. Brüno] so I agreed to get involved with the gag,” Em said. “I’m thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it. It had so many people going ‘nuts,’ so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it.”

“I love performing with Jay,” he said. “It’s the third time we’ve done the song together live and it’s always fun. It was an honor to share the stage with him again and to work with his band.”

The release of the new album, Relapse, is the fifth straight Eminem studio album to debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Only his 1999 debut album, The Slim Shady LP, failed to debut at the top of the chart, bowing at No. 2 .Additionally, the lead single of Relapse, We Made You is a top 10 hit in twelve countries, topping the charts in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.

The two singles which are seen performed in the Eminem Le Grand Journal Video, characterize two aspects of Eminem’s explosive return to the music scene which has made headlines, first with the video for his single, We Made You, and its controversial (but not atypical) name checking of celebrities including Jessica Simpson, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. And furthering the controversy, Emenim took on disturbing subject with first-person exploration through explicit lyrics of the mind of a serial killer in 3 a.m. (whose video graphically depicts the lyrics).
