Here is the Susan Boyle Oprah Video, along with photos. The singer’s long awaited appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show was on May 11, 2009. She was interviewed via satellite from her home in Scotland in a three-way interview that included Simon Cowell on a special episode entitled ‘The World’s Got Talent,’ which featured several other noteworthy performers from around the world and the phenomena of talent competitions which are popular in numerous countries in the world.

The Susan Boyle Britain’s Got Talent ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ audition brought the 47-year-old singer from Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland overnight global stardom. The video has already been seen by tens of millions on YouTube, and become one of the most watched viral video in history. Millions have watched her mesmerize the initially cynical and unreceptive audience and judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden. In the Susan Boyle Oprah interview, which was subtitled throughout, the singer told the mogul and talk show host that she is ‘loving every minute’ of her instant stardom and adding that ‘It’s like a dream come true.’

When asked if she were still lonely, she told Oprah and viewers, ‘Oh no. I am not lonely. Everyone has been so nice. I’ve got millions of new friends now.’

She addressed the incessant Susan Boyle makeover talk. She said, ‘I said to my best friend, I said ‘How’s about you do my make up’. That’s hardly a makeover,’ and added that restyling her hair, ‘was just to tidy myself up like any other female would have done.’ The new hairstyle and hair color caused a flurry of headlines last month, see: Susan Boyle Gets A New Do

During the introductory segment which featured Susan Boyle giving viewers a tour of her home, she spoke of how important singing has been for her, dating back even to childhood.

‘I was kind of a slow learner at school so getting something like singing was good. I was encouraged to be in the choir. I was able to hide behind that and so boosted my confidence.’

She said she stopped singing when her mother died in 2007 and that one of the reasons she participated in Britain’s Got Talent was ‘to see if I could still sing in front of an audience.’

Simon Cowell, in the three-way interview with Susan Boyle and Oprah Winfrey, reflected upon the now famous BGT audition that launched the singer’s international stardom.

He said, ‘There was something Susan said before she came out on stage, if you watch the whole clip. ‘She says, without any sense of irony, “I’m going to rock this audience. She knew she had something and I think she knew we were going to get that reaction.

‘Just to see that look of satisfaction on her face mid-way through, which is, “I’m winning now.” It was one of my favorite moments.”

With the Susan Boyle appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show suspense builds for the singer’s next appearance on Britain’s Got Talent on the May 23, 2009 semi-finals as well as the much expected future success of the singer, albums, tours and biopic, all of which are widely speculated upon.
