Here is the Asher Roth Be By Myself video featuring Cee-Lo of Gnarls Barkley. See the video and photos here. The music video is in support of the rapper’s second single from his debut album, Asleep in the Bread Aisle, which was released on April 21, 2009 (’420′) and debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
The Asher Roth Be By Myself video features both the rapper and Cee-Lo on the hook, as they are surrounded by beautiful women and uses some special effects includng digital cover overlays as the rapper maintains his preference, as the ‘Be By Myself’ lyrics assert.
The new single follows upon the success of his signature hit ‘I Love College,’ that evokes the nostalgia of his days at West Chester College in Pennsylvania and brought him to prominence.
Asleep in the Bread Aisle features guest appearances from Jazze Pha, Keri Hilson, Busta Rhymes, Estelle and Chester French in addition to Cee-Lo. It was produced by Oren Yoel with additional production from David Appleton, Mike Caren and Ben Allen, and others.

The rapper was recently interviewed by the Philadelphia Inquirer and he addressed a range of issues including the comparisons people make between him and Detroit rapper Eminem.
“For successful white rappers in the mainstream, the reference points are Slim and none,” Roth said Monday.
Roth has been more frequently compared with Eminem – so much so that he rhymes about it in “As I Em,” because “it’s impossible rejecting an elephant in the room.”
“We’re two drastically different human beings,” said Roth, who calls himself “not an angry person at all.” His inflections are sometimes similar to Eminem’s, but his style is much more relaxed.
