The Presidential prime time press conference coincides with the Obama First 100 Days in office. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and CNBC are broadcasting the live Presidential news conference. Fox Network has declined to cover it live, although the Fox News Channel, the cable network will cover it live.

In his prior prime time presidential news conference, Obama sought to outline the plans his administration had to foster the U.S. economic recovery. At that time he had pressed Congress to approve his proposed $3.55-trillion federal budget which included spending in a diversity of areas including health care, energy, and education.

In the 100 Days Presidential Press conference, the President assessed progress of the past 100 days and outline future plans of the administration and note markers of progress thus far.
