Here is the Susan Boyle Michael Barrymore video from 1995. The then unknown singer auditioned by singing ‘I Don’t Know How To Love Him’ in hopes of appearing on the Michael Barrymore My Kind of People talent show. To say the very least Barrymore does not recognize her talent. Michael Barrymore is seen mocking her as she sings on stage
at an audition at Olympia Shopping Centre in East Kilbride caught on video by a fellow contestant and publicly released by Scottish newspaper The Glasgow Daily Record.
Susan Boyle, now of Britain’s Got Talent fame, was beautifully attired in a pink suit jacket, dark skirt and stiletto heels in the 1995 audition. She playfully put the heels to use as Michael Barrymore gets on the floor trying to look up her dress. Susan Boyle cleverly stoops and continues singing the song ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’ (from the 1970 musical Jesus Christ Superstar, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice) in the characteristically beautiful voice that has brought her worldwide fame. Michael Barrymore is seen kissing her as she is concluding the song and the tape ends.
The mocking behavior seen in the 1995 Susan Boyle Michael Barrymore video, insensitive as it is, is all the more strange as the talent of the then 33-year-old Susan Boyle is so evident in the as seen in this home video taken by a fellow contestant, the then 18-year-old 18-year-old Julie Febers, whose other, Elizabeth MacLean was also auditioning, according to a report in the Daily Record.
Standing just a few paces behind Susan in the audition queue was mum-of-two Elizabeth, 52, of Pollokshaws, Glasgow, who did get through with ballad The Power of Love.
Elizabeth said: “Susan was a few people in front of me.
“When she began to sing I knew she had a great voice, but Barrymore was intent on taking the mickey out of her.”

I am very glad Micheal Barrymore has gone from our screens, he only ever got laughs at other people’s expense. This vedeo is proof that he had no talent himself so he just interrupted someone elses moment. Susan should have put her high heels to good use!
