The single has been released as the lead single of the the renown French DJ David Guetta’s fourth studio album, One Love, which will be released on August 25, 2009 in the U.S. and September 2009 internationally.
The David Guetta Kelly Rowland When Love Takes Over video musical collaboration is a first between David Guetta, voted No. 1 House DJ and World DJ No. 5 in 2008 by DJ Magazine and the Grammy Award winning R&B singer-songwriter Kelly Rowland formerly of Destiny’s Child along with Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams. Hopefully it is not the last collaboration.
The David Guetta hit single “Love is Gone” topped the iTunes Dance USA chart for three months. His 2005 single “The World Is Mine” which and samples the Simple Minds hit “Someone Somewhere In Summertime.” , which topped European dance charts. He is also known for his collaboration in 2001 with American gospel singer, Chris Willis, “Just a Little More Love.” David Guetta had another notable hit with a remix of David Bowie’s “Heroes,” which was retitled as “Just for One Day.”
Kelly Rowland’s 2007 sophomore album, Ms. Kelly, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It was re-released in 2009 as Ms. Kelly: Diva Deluxe, with remixes and new tracks.
She recently parted with longtime manager Mathew Knowles, father of Beyonce Knowles and Solange Knowles. In March, she was released from her contract with Columbia Records.
