UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph and The Scottish newspaper, The Daily Record, respectively, released the recordings to the world.

The song is from the 1970 musical Jesus Christ Superstar, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice hit Jesus Christ Superstar later made into a movie in 1973. Yvonne Elliman was the first to record the song in 1971 which Helen Reddy covered, the same year.
