Lindsay Lohan has just released an entertaining viral video, poking fun at her recent breakup with DJ Samathan Ronson and the resulting tabloid and paparazzi attention it has caused.
“My name is Lindsay and I’m searching for love,” the 22-year old actress begins, “I’m recently single… I think. And I’m looking for someone who I can spend the rest of my life with, or at least someone I can spend the rest of my probation with.’
‘A little bit about me, I’m an actress, a singer, an entrepreneur and I single-handedly kept 90 percent of all gossip websites in business,’ she says, which is not much of an exaggeration.
As Michelle Collins at Best Week Ever notes, other celebrities have done well with such self-parodies.
In today’s day and age, nothing clears the celebrity slate faster than a famous person who appears in a tongue-in-cheek, highly self-aware viral video making fun of their own weaknesses. Paris Hilton did it. Zac Efron did it. Opie and The Fonzdid it.
