Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Yeah Yeah Yeahs is comprised of lead singer Karen O, drummer Brian Chase, and guitarist Nick Zinner. With the success of their Grammy nominated debut album, Fever to Tell, they became internationally known. Their most recently released album is It’s Blitz! their third studio album with Zero the lead single. The album was produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Arcade Fire, Talking Heads, PiL), and Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio. The new album is notable for its more pronounced electronic sound in contrast to the band’s punk rock, art punk, indie rock style.

“I guess an electronic and more synthesised sound felt right this time,” vocalist Karen O told 6 Music about the recording sessions.

“We moved away from the raw rock that we recently did [on the 'Is Is' EP] and freed up the direction for something new.”
