Here is the official Black Eyed Peas Boom Boom Pow Video, lyrics and promo photos. It is the lead single from their forthcoming fifth studio album ‘The E.N.D.’ (The Energy Never Dies), set for release June 9, 2009. The track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 100 and is the group’s first chart topping hit single.

The hip hop group members presently include Will.i.am , Apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie. The music video explores the theme of a digital afterlife, revealing what would happen if the group members really entered the virtual world.

“It’s not your typical first single,” Fergie said. “It’s basically kind of to the left. The song is to the left, and it works, ’cause we’re being true to ourselves.”

Regarding the album, Will.i.am told Billboard in an interview late last year, that it is intended to reinvent the concept of an album as a finite product.

“It’s a diary … of music that at any given time, depending on the inspiration, you can add to it,” the artist/producer/songwriter explains.”I’m trying to break away from the concept of an album. What is an album when you put 12 songs on iTunes and people can pick at it like scabs? That’s not an album. There is no album anymore.”
