Seth Rogen who appears in the forthcoming movie Observe and Report, was the Saturday Night Live host. The band delivered stellar performances on SNL in support of their forthcoming album.
Band members are Thomas Mars, Deck D’Arcy, Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Brancowitz. They were originally as the backing band for a remix of Air’s “Kelly Watch the Stars” single. In Versailles they were part of the same 1990s culture that produced bands such as Daft Punk and Air. In 2000, as Phoenix, they released their debut album United.

Their fifth studio album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, is set for release on May 25, 2009. Cassius’ Philippe Zdar co-produced and mixed the album. The EP version is is already available on iTunes.
