T.I. Dead and Gone Spoof Barack Obama Video

T.I. Dead and Gone Spoof Barack Obama video is the latest masterwork from famed Obama impersonator Alphacat. See the video and lyrics here. This time, the comedian and impressionist whose real name is Iman Crosson takes on another parody of an T.I. hit single, ‘Dead and Gone’ with insightful and entertaining results. The new video features Lisa Lavie, singing the Justin Timberlake inspired hooks.

He is also the creator of the viral video T.I. Whatever You Like spoof. Watch that one here on YouTube.

Iman Crosson, Alphacat, describes himself as ‘actor, dancer, singer…Impersonator-In Chief.
He is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and now resides in L.A. He has developed a growing fan base and is featured as the voice of Barack Obama in the Newsweek The District, a spoof of MTV reality TV series The City. See: Newsweek ‘The District’ Video (MTV ‘The City’ Spoof)

He is also featured on ETOnline: ET Blog: YouTube’s Dancing Obama!

In an interview, he discussed the impetus for becoming an Obama impersonator, a move which has brought him emerging recognition and success.

I got into it because I wanted to get my acting career going and I knew I needed something to seriously kick-start it. Why not impersonate the most popular guy on the planet? […]

I’m a one-man band. I write ’em, edit ’em, post ’em on YouTube. I come up with bullet points I want to touch upon and I just turn on the camera and sit there and ad-lib.

He goes on to discuss how he captures President Obama’s speech patterns so effectively.

It’s all about pitch and cadence. I don’t have exactly a high voice, but at the same time Obama’s register is still lower than mine. I have to remember to drop my register and to speak slowly. He’s extremely pensive when he speaks. He chooses his words very carefully and enunciates every syllable. And there’s lots of pauses – a lot of ums and a lot of ahs.
