Dwayne Johnson, formerly known as The Rock, revealed President Barack Obama’s hidden side in a Saturday Night Live skit, The Rock Obama, on March 7, 2009. See the video of the hilarious send-up of the President’s famously cool temperament which is already becoming a SNL classic.

In the skit, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel (Andy Samberg) wants his boss, thw even-tempered “no drama Obama” (Fred Armisen), to get angry. Next thing we know, the President has an Incredible Hulk-like metamorphosis into Dwayne The Rock Johnson who has his own ideas of how to deal with Republican members of Congress who pester him with bothersome details of fixing the economy.

Dwayne Johnson, former wrestler turned actor (who is appearing in the forthcoming movie ‘Race to Witch Mountain’) delivered a solid, on point Obama impression. In an interview, he discussed the skit.

“I love our president. ‘SNL’ is such an institution, such a great institution for comedy. [...]

When I was there, we talked about the idea of doing the Rock Obama,” Johnson explained. “Like, what happens if Barack Obama got angry, turned into the Hulk and turned into the Rock Obama?”
