The brilliant opening credit sequence of Zack Snyder’s Watchmen is now online. Watch the video and see bonus viral videos of the movie based on the visionary graphic novel of the same title by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
The six minute Watchmen opening credits are set to the Bob Dylan signature song ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’ as the scenes unfold revealing the history of the Minutemen from 1939 to 1985 when costumed superheros, who were previously heralded members of society, are now subject to scorn and rejection. yU+Co created the Watchmen opening credits.

Both the graphic novel and the movie Watchmen are set in an alternate 1985 timeline in which Richard Nixon is the U.S. President and there are growing tensions between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. as represented by the ‘Doomsday Clock’ set permanently at five minutes to midnight. Costumed superheros had been part of everyday life and suddenly and mysteriously one of them is murdered and his colleague, the masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to find the killer and finds instead a massive plot that not only intends to discredit superheros but that threatened all of humanity.
The movie stars Patrick Wilson, Malin Akerman, Carla Gugino, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jackie Earle Haley, Billy Crudup, and Matthew Good and is in theaters now. Here is a roundup of Watchmen reviews
