Jennifer Hudson made an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show on February 27, 2009. See video and photos here of the Grammy Award winning singer and Academy Award winning actress who was interviewed and performed her new single “If This Isn’t Love” on the show.

She continues her comeback after the October 2008 tragedy which saw the shooting deaths of her mother, brother and nephew, telling Oprah that she is glad to be back performing which is doing what she loves. She said also that performing is like “therapy” and she said, without referencing the tragedy, “I’m in a very good place now.”

She talked about how exciting it was receiving the 2009 Grammy Award for R&B Album of the year, and that receiving the award from presenter Whitney Houston was equally exciting, as the legendary singer has long been her idol. She also talked about her fiance David Otunga, and her dogs, named Oscar, Grammy and Dream Girl.

Jennifer Hudson is set to begin a tour this month with fellow R&B artist Robin Thicke.
