Here is the official music video for the Jamie Foxx single, ‘Blame It’ featuring T-Pain.  See the video, lyrics and photos here.  The video features an all-star Hollywood cast, with Ron Howard, Samuel L. Jackson, Forest Whitaker  and Jake Gyllenhaal making guest appearances. But the guest appearances did not end there; the video also features cameos from Quincy Jones, Cedric the Entertainer, Morris Chesnut, Clifton Powell, Alex Thomas, Tatyana Ali, Bill Bellamy, Clarence Avant, and Tommy Davidson.

The music video is directed by Hype Williams and the single Blame it ‘(On the Alcohol)’ is from the Grammy winning singer and Oscar winning actor’s third studio album Intuition, in stores now. The music video premiered on February 25, 2009 on BET. The track samples “I Luv Your Girl” by The-Dream and was cowritten by Nate Walker, Brandon Melanchon and James T. Brown and produced by Christopher “Deep” Henderson who also shares songwriting credit on the track. Both Jamie Foxx and T-Pain use the Auto-Tune effect throughout.

Jamie Foxx has a history of using Hollywood stars in music videos; most recently, Oscar nominated actress Taraji P. Henson (‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’) appeared in his ‘Just Like Me’ video. In an interview, Jamie Foxx said the movie Notorious, the recently released biopic of the life of legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G, was an inspiration for having such an enormous cast of A-list celebrities.

“We wanted to sort of relive the Biggie (experience),” Foxx said to MTV. “Remember when Biggie did the ‘One More Chance’ remix video? So, we relived that. Jamie Foxx, as always, is not far from Hollywood.  He costars with Robert Downy Jr. in The Soloist,  portraying Nathaniel Anthony Ayers, a Julliard trained musician who becomes mentally ill and homeless and is befriended by LA Times columnist Steve Lopez (Downey) in a true story based on Lopez’s articles.  The movie will be released in theaters April 24, 2009.
