Newsweek ‘The District’ Video (MTV ‘The City’ Spoof)

Newsweek has produced an entertaining series, “The District” about President Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office; it’s a spoof of the hit reality TV series on MTV ‘The City.” Watch the debut episode, ‘The Challenges We Face’ and two more episodes here. The producers promise new episodes each Monday. The original, MTV ‘The City’ chronicles Whitney Port’s life in the fashion world, the satirical series uses a similar voiceover narration and camerawork with very entertaining results.

It’s all in the focus and the editing. The series uses real news video and the celebrated Obama impersonator, Iman Crosson (aka Alphacat) provides the voiceover. Video editing and production by Jon Groat and Sarah Frank. Source: Newsweek
