Here is the official music video for the 2009 version of Mariah Carey’s classic hit “Hero” along with promo photos, cover art and tracklisting for The Ballads, the forthcoming compilation album set for release on January 20, 2009. The song has been re-recorded with new lyrics and a new music video for the album.

Mariah Carey wrote “Hero” and produced it in collaboration with Walter Afanasieff. The song originally appeared on her chart topping, multi-platinum third studio album Music Box (1993).
