Here is a 1987 classic from legendary hip hop group Run DMC, “Christmas in Hollis.”  The single is from the 1987 album A Very Special Christmas, produced by Jimmy Iovine for A&M Records, it was the first in a series of Christmas music compilation albums produced to benefit the Special Olympics.

The pioneering group founded by Joseph “DJ Run” Simmons, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels, and the late Jason “Jam-Master Jay” Mizell is a 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominee.
