Best Viral Videos of 2008: A Retrospective

Videogum has put together a great montage of some of the best viral videos of 2008. Clocking in at just under 7 minutes, you can relive some of the year’s highlights, from the Chuck E. Cheese Band rendition of Usher’s  hit single “Love in This Club” to the Bill O’Reilly meltdown, and much more.

Yes, it was quite a year for viral video. As Videogum notes, the videos were numerous, and not everything noteworthy made the final cut.

But even without Drunk History or the Zach Galafianakis Absolut Vodka Ads, without Baby Preacher, Lil’ Bill O’Reilly, or the kids rapping about the election to T.I.’s “Whatever You Like,” and probably a dozen other honorable mentions, I feel confident that you will still find this to be a captivating, thorough, and most of all HEARTBREAKING tribute to this year in internet.
