Grammy Award winning rapper Ludacris made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on December 5, 2008 for an interview and performance of “One More Drink.”
In the wide ranging, lively interview, Ludacris discussed his intentions behind his recently released sixth studio album Theater of the Mind which uses a wide range of guest stars, from boxer Floyd Mayweather to filmmaker Spike Lee. The album is a movie with all the tracks named after movies and television, thus the use of costars, he said.
In noting that his high school had recently named its gymnasium after him, he reminisced about his high school years, during which he said he was always rapping. He talked about his days of working at Pizza Hut during high school and he gave a shoutout to his high school math teacher.
Ludacris received a 2009 Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group.
