Beyonce performed “Ave Maria” at the 2008 Christmas in Rockefeller Center on NBC on December 3, 2008.   Watch the video and see photos of the music superstar performing the traditional song with her own lyrics in a version taken from her third studio album I Am…Sasha Fierce, in stores now.

Her prerecorded performance directly proceeded the 76th annual tree lighting ceremony, as the 30,000 energy-efficient LED lights on the eight-ton, 72-foot Norway spruce in Rockefeller Center were lit.
