Acclaimed rapper and actor Ice Cube performed “Why Me?” with Musiq Soulchild on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on December 3, 2008.  The single is from the hip-hop pioneer’s eighth studio album, Raw Footage, in stores now.

The official music video for “Why Me?” debuted on BET on September 24, 2008.  The emotionally powerful video captures the lyrics which address the tragedy of random violence, is directed Benny Boom and shot on location in Lancaster, California.  The video and behind-the-scenes photos are on Rap-Up.com

Ice Cube’s movie career is also in full swing.  He costars with Mike Epps as a duo of amateur concert promoters in the forthcoming comedy Janky Promoters which also stars Young Jeezy. The movie is set for release March 27, 2009.
