Here is the first full-length theatrical trailer for Zack Snyder’s  Watchmen.  The trailer which just debuted online is attached to the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace which will be in theaters in the U.S. on November 14, 2008. The eagerly awaited movie is based on the award winning graphic novel of the same title by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, will be released in theaters March 6, 2009, starring Patrick Wilson, Malin Akerman, Carla Gugino, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jackie Earle Haley, Billy Crudup, and Matthew Good.

A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity…but who is watching the watchmen?

Zack Snyder’s 2007 movie “300″ based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same title was a highly successful and popular adaptation, faithful to the spirit of the graphic novel. “Watchmen” from what we have seen thus far in previous trailers and photos, bears these same hallmarks. This exciting, new action-packed trailer reveals more scenes of interactions between the characters and mesmerizing special effects, faithful to the artwork of the original graphic novel.  It is set to the haunting song “Take a Bow” by Muse.
