Video: Ron Clark Academy Kids “You Can Vote However You Like”

Sixth and seventh grade students from Atlanta’s famed Ron Clark Academy perform a nonpartisan voting rap live on CNN that is a parody of T.I.’s No. 1 hit single, “Whatever You Like.” Watch the full performance in the first video and read the lyrics, below.

In the second video, CNN anchor Kyra Phillips interviewed with the students who express the reasons for creating the video to encourage people to participate in the political process, no matter what their political views may be. In the interview, students discussed the political issues and policies at stake in the election, including health care and the economy. Phillips also asked students for their opinions of the Democratic and Republican Presidential candidates, Senators Barack Obama and John McCain, and VP Republican candidate Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and students offered balanced, thoughtful assessments, a refreshing contrast to the negativity and personal attacks that sometimes pass for punditry among adults.
