Here is the first official Cadillac Records TV commercial movie trailer and new photos.  Adrien Brody stars as Leonard Chess, Beyonce Knowles as Etta James Cedric the Entertainer as Willie Dixon, Mos Def as Chuck Berry, Columbus Short as Little Walter, and Jeffrey Wright as Muddy Waters in this highly anticipated 1950s music era biopic.

Written and directed by Darnell Martin, Cadillac Records chronicles the life and times of legendary 1950s Chicago record executive Leonard Chess. The TV commercial debuted on BET on October 23, 2008 and the movie will be released in theaters December 5, 2008.

Beyonce Knowles is also the movie’s executive producer.

“I gained almost 15 pounds to play the role,” Beyoncé said in the forthcoming November issue of InStyle about her character in the film, which also stars Jeffrey Wright, Mos Def, Gabrielle Union and Adrien Brody. “It was way easier — and tastier — than having to lose so much weight for ‘Dreamgirls,’ ” she added.

Beyoncé also said the role made her examine her music in a new way: She’s recorded three songs for the film’s soundtrack, and playing soul legend James influenced her approach to her new album, I Am, out November 18.
