Here is the official music video for Britney Spears’ single “Womanizer,” lead single from her forthcoming sixth studio album, Circus, set for release on December 2, 2008. ABC 20/20 was where the music video had its highly anticipated premiere, on October 10, 2008. Too hot for broadcast television, the music video was shown in an edited, censored version. Joseph Khan directed the music video, which was shot in September 2008 in Los Angeles. Khan directed two previous Britney Spears music videos; “Stronger” and “Toxic.”
Scenes in the video feature Britney lounging, nude, in a sauna, while her boyfriend showers. The ABC version of the clip obscures her body with digitally added steam; the MTV version does not. Obviously there are no explicit shots in the video, but MTV’s is certainly more provocative.

It features Britney playing several different roles: nightie-clad girlfriend, naughty secretary, tattooed waitress and a near-topless chauffeur. And, much like “Toxic,” she’s seeking revenge against a lover who has done her wrong.
