R&B singer-songwriter Robin Thicke was interviewed by radio host Angie Martinez on New York City radio station Hot 97 on October 1, 2008. He discussed his third studio album, Something Else, released on September 30, 2008 and in stores now.
While acknowledging R&B as a major influence on his music, Robin Thicke said he prefers to be considered a soul singer because he “sings from the soul.” He talked about Mary J. Blige with whom he has been touring on the Love Soul Tour. He also talked about Bangkok and did impersonations of other music artists.
