Pop superstar Britney Spears was interviewed on New York City radio station Z100 on September 29, 2008, in promotion of her newly released single “Womanizer,” lead single of her upcoming sixth studio album, Circus, set for release on December 2, 2008. She said she had been working on the album for six months and that she feels the single “Womanizer” is empowering “like a girl anthem.” She said a world tour is in the works for 2009. She also talked about winning three VMAs at the 2008 MTV Music Video Awards and that she was surprised to win a VMA for the music video “Piece of Me.”
