Eleven-time Grammy Award winning superstar Alicia Keys made a memorable appearance on BET 106 & Park on September 5, 2008, performing a medley of her hits, including “Superwoman,” and in an interview.
Alicia Keys talked about the upcoming movie, The Secret Life of Bees, in which she co-stars with Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah, Dakota Fanning, Paul Bettany, and Sophie Okonedo. She also talked about what it was like working with Jack White of The White Stripes, in the duet for the James Bond: Quantum of Solace theme, “Another Way to Die.”
In keeping with 106 & Park’s “Back to School” week theme, Alicia Keys revealed that she was her high school class valedictorian and she encouraged students to stay focused and excel in spite of peer pressure. She encouraged viewers to register to vote, and to vote for Barack Obama.
Alicia Keys’ multi-platinum third studio album, As I Am is in stores. She is working on her fourth studio album set for release in 2009.
