The impressive line-up of female singers, including Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis and Mary J Blige, who performed on the single, “Just Stand Up” benefiting the Stand Up 2 Cancer charity performed the single live at the Stand Up To Cancer Special Broadcast on September 5, 2008.
The Stand Up 2 Cancer program was broadcast on all three major U.S. networks, ABC, CBS and NBC, with the news anchors of each network participating; Charles Gibson, Katie Couric, and Brian Williams on stage at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. The “Just Stand Up” performance was broadcast live from Fashion Rocks 2008 concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
