Alicia Keys and Jack White will duet on the James Bond: Quantum of Solace theme, which is entitled “Another Way to Die.”  The announcement was made on July 29, 2008, putting to rest widespread rumor and speculation that Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis, Duffy or Grace Jones would perform the theme song for the upcoming 007 movie.

A couple months ago, Alicia Keys talked about her desire to collaborate with the White Stripes. She’ll have to settle for the next best thing, as Keys and Jack White are teaming up for the theme song of the next James Bond film Quantum of Solace.

“Another Way to Die” was written by White, who will also play drums and produce the track. The song marks the first time in Bond history that the film’s theme will be a duet. When we reported that Keys wanted to collaborate with White, we assumed it was just wishful thinking. We didn’t think it’d come to fruition so quickly, or that they’d make a Bond theme out of it. The soundtrack for Quantum isn’t due out until October 28th.

“James Bond: Quantum of Solace,” directed by Marc Foster and starring Daniel Craig as James Bond, will be released in the UK on October 31, 2008 and in North America on November 7, 2008.
