Ashanti attended The Women’s Leadership Panel and Reception on July 21, 2008 at at the Hearst Tower in New York City. Andrea Wong, CEO and president of Lifetime Networks hosted the event and ABC News correspondent Lynn Sherr was the moderator.
Attendees included Malaak Compton-Rock, founder and director of StyleWorks, Congresswoman Kay Granger of Texas, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney of New York, Stacy Morrison, editor-in-chief of Redbook, and Martha Burk, former Chair of the National Council of Women’s Organizations.
