
Super model Naomi Campbell took part in a tree planting ceremony at the Abuja Central Park and Botanical Gardens on July 11, 2008 in Abuja, Nigeria. The tree planting ceremony launches ‘The planting of one million trees’ in the federal capital territory.


The mission set by the Abuja Green Society is to bring the community together and raise awareness of environmental issues to make a greener city. “The Abuja Green Society’s green initiative aims to plant a tree for every new baby born in the region’s hospital’s in a bid to give them a better future.”
