Jordin Sparks performed her international hit single “No Air” on the UK talk show “The Loose Women” on July 9, 2008. “No Air” (featuring Chris Brown) is the second single from Jordin Spark’s self-titled debut album, in stores now. Jordin Sparks, the American Idol season 6 winner, is becoming popular in the UK; “No Air” peaked at No. 3 on the UK singles chart.
“I don’t want to sound weird or anything, but I listen to it a lot,” Jordin Sparks told DS recently. “I think ‘Wow, this is a really cool song!’, but then I remember that I’m the one singing it and feel, well, a little embarrassed.” What was the AmIdol champ talking about? Her new single ‘No Air’, of course.

Cynics would call this good sales patter, but actually ‘No Air’ is exactly the sort of song you’d expect Jordin Sparks to listen to: melodic, melodramatic, not terribly hip but immensely satisfying, essentially an R&B power ballad. It’s exactly the sort of song she should be singing too, making full use of her impressive set of pipes. Chris Brown, meanwhile, brings a bit of street cred to proceedings, ensuring this surefire smash stays just the right side of cheesy.
