Ashanti made an appearance on BET’s “106 & Park” on Monday, June 2, 2008, to promote her new album, “The Declaration” is scheduled for release June 3, 2008. It’s the Grammy award winner’s fourth studio album. The first single from the album, “The Way That I Love You” was released earlier this year.

Ashanti is jumping into the web gaming scene. The songstress whose album “The Declaration” hits stores this week is slated to launch a virtual community titled “I Declare Me” Tuesday, June 3rd.

“I Declare Me..” places focus on the self-definition and empowerment of women across the United States. With its home base on Ashanti’s official website participants will be able to openly declare their own breakthroughs, revelations, struggles and victories in every life area they choose, whether it be career, birth, death, relationships or personal situations. “I Declare Me…” also invites women to a virtual discussion with Ashanti on such issues as voter registration, teen obesity, and other concerns facing women today.

In addition to the release of the “I Declare Me..” community, Ashanti is keeps busy this week with a line up of appearances including a stop by BET’s 106 & Park on Monday, June 2nd , MTV’s Total Request Live (TRL) on Tuesday, June 3rd, and as previously announced on Singersroom a performance Live from Bryant Park in New York for ABC’s Good Morning America Summer Concert Series.
