Britney Spears made her second appearance on the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” in an episode entitled “Everything Must Go.” As previously, she played the receptionist, Abby, who, in this episode dates Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) so as to get back at Ted (Josh Radnor). Her appearances on the show are generally well received by critics and viewers. The previous episode in which she appeared had the program’s highest ratings ever, leading to speculation that Britney Spears may return to “How I met Your Mother.”

Britney Spears’ character was involved in a subplot of the episode, with the main focus going to the characters Lily and Marshall selling their stuff on the program, as well as literally, via a real Web site, lilyandmarshallselltheirstuff.com a charity auction set up by CharityFolks.com.
